Re progress on Vol 2 (which covers insignia used by all Regiments and Units of the Australian Army (Post 1953 to the present day).
On the question about the release date for Vol 2… I have learned my lesson about predicting finish dates for our writing projects. We effectively wrote Vol 1 twice… first the 615 page ‘encyclopedic’ eBook Edition and then the much more printable 236 page hard copy. So, I obviously can’t be trusted to project finish dates. You heard it here first
Nevertheless, I am able to say that the work on Vol 2 is about 80 percent complete at present and I can say that it will be out this year. I can also tell you that we will release the shorter hard copy version first… so you will all have a complete set of hard copy reference works at that point (without us holding back until all the ‘known’ variations have been completed for the eBook edition of Vol2). In other words, we are writing the two editions of Volume 2, in the opposite order that we wrote Volume 1. It seems bleeding obvious now… but there you have it. So, who said old dogs can’t learn new tricks 😛
Conclusion
By the time first Queensland Gun Show is run at Ipswich on 27 and 28 Feb… Arthur and I should have a better idea of when we think we can knock over the remaining work on the hard copy Ed of Vol 2. I will post a more precise release date for you all then. I hope this much information is of use to you all?
Remember, if you have any feedback we’d be happy to hear from you all and this discussion board is a good place for that discussion to occur.
Finally, if we were to put up some sample pages of Volume 2 on (say) DropBox, with links posted here and/or on the British and Commonwealth Military Badge Forum http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/ etc etc, will that be something you’d be interested in (or not)?
Regards and Happy New Year!

“If you are able to read this, thank a teacher.
If you are able to read this in English, thank a soldier.”
