Here is a snapshot of the new 1st Aviation Regiment metal title and images of the ‘AAVN’ title which is reputed to be a new/revised Aviation Corps title.
Our research contacts in Canberra have not confirmed or denied the ‘AAVN’ title yet, so the “Jury is definitely Out’ on the AAVN. In addition the lack of any official acknowledgement of the AAVN title… please note that the manufacturing quality is not what I would expect. The item appears to have been cast rather than pressed and it is not as square and as flat as the definitely genuine 1 Aviation Regiment title shown in the same shot. Please check those features against the level of detail shown within the comparison image of the ‘1 AVN title, shown in comparison to the AAVN pair.
Everyone’s comments would be very welcome (of course)?
